Looks like a well-built antenna, but I have not been able to use it yet. Still waiting on my backordered Intellitron AA-1814T Ground Spike Mount. Hopefully it will be shipping soon! Will post an update on this antenna once I finally get to use it.

Overall, I think this is a very good antenna. It extends and retracts nicely! I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the threads. They were coated heavily and required a wrench to put on (not good for portability). Fortunately I had a 3/8 24 die and was able to clean the threads up. After that, the antenna threaded on with ease. Hopefully the mfg realizes the issue and makes some adjustments

Problems with Threads

I bought two of these antennas. The top sections (as advertised) are much more robust than other brands. They are also easier to extend and collapse, which may be a problem after a lot of use. Time will tell.
When I attempted to screw them in my Chameleon Hub, they would not go. The problem is the threads are covered with chrome plating. Fortunately I have a 3/8-24 die and was able to chase the threads and remove the chrome. Problem solved.
Other than the threads issue the antenna seems okay for a made in China product.

THIS ANTENNA RECEIVES ON 20M BETTER THAN MY DIPOLE IN THE TREES! I love it :)
I have not tested the TX on this, but I know it will work.
I surely recommend this to ham's who need quick setups in the yard, field, or park.
