great radio

If you’re looking for a solid dual-band mobile that just flat-out performs, the Yaesu FTM-310DR ASP checks a lot of boxes.
The receive audio is clear and crisp, even in high-noise mobile environments. On transmit, reports are consistently strong and clean — exactly what you’d expect from Yaesu’s build quality. The ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processing) really helps pull signals out of the mud, especially when the band gets crowded.
Functionality-wise, this radio offers a ton of features without being overly complicated. The menu system is straightforward, and once you spend a little time with it, navigation becomes second nature.
Programming is painless using RT Systems software, which makes managing repeaters, memories, and settings quick and efficient. If you’ve ever hand-programmed a large memory bank, you’ll appreciate how much time that saves.
I’m actually looking to buy a second one to use as a donor radio for my Yaesu HRI-200 — this rig has so many useful parts and a great build that it’ll be perfect for spares or upgrades.
Bottom line: dependable, feature-rich, excellent audio performance, and easy to manage. The FTM-310DR ASP is a great choice for anyone wanting a reliable mobile rig that simply works when you key the mic.

Great Radio!
Review by

This radio has a lot of useful features. The learning curve is not terrible. I would recommend that you read the basic manual, at the least. The display is large enough and bright enough, however, it is a little too bright at night. The speaker on the control head is a big help to an old guy who is loosing his hearing.
