Yaesu FTM-310DRASP Dual-Band Mobile Transceiver
The Yaesu FTM-310DRASP is a powerful dual-band mobile transceiver that provides a comprehensive suite of features for advanced amateur radio communications. Building on the core functionality of the FTM-310DR, this model includes the Audio Digital Signal Processor (ASP) as a standard feature, offering enhanced audio performance right out of the box. With true dual-band operation and two independent receivers, the FTM-310DRASP supports simultaneous C4FM/C4FM receive on different bands or within the same band. It delivers a robust power output of 55W on VHF and 50W on UHF, backed by a Heavy Duty Heat Sink with FACC for stable and reliable transmit power.
The FTM-310DRASP features the Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System (AESS) which generates a total of 6W of clear, high-fidelity audio from its front and main-unit speakers. A key advantage of this model is the integrated Super-DX + ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor) function. When operating in FM analog mode, the ASP can be activated in addition to Super-DX, with selectable AUTO and MANUAL modes. It's important to note that when ASP is active, the main-unit speaker will not sound, but the 3W front speaker inside the control head ensures clear and powerful audio.

C4FM Digital Mode
C4FM Digital is the standard mode for professional communication devices and has excellent audio quality (BER: Bit Error Rate Characteristics) compared with GMSK digital. By adding YAESU’s original error correction technology, the FTM-310DR series has achieved comprehensive high-grade communications.
Super-DX + ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor)
In both C4FM digital and FM analog modes, the sensitivity of the RF amplifier can be increased by activating the Super-DX function. When operating in FM analog mode, the ASP can be activated in addition to the Super-DX. ASP AUTO/MANUAL modes are selectable. In ASP AUTO mode, Super-DX is always turned on and ASP automatically activates when the transceiver detects weak signals in FM analog mode. In ASP MANUAL mode, Super-DX and ASP can be manually switched on and off each time [S-DX] key is briefly pressed.
PMG (Primary Memory Group)
Up to 5 VFO or Memory Channel frequencies can be assigned to the PMG and monitored using two different receivers. The reception status of the PMG channels is displayed in real time with a bar graph on the PMG screen. AUTO or MANUAL mode is selectable. AUTO mode monitors all PMG channels and up to two channels can be simultaneously heard. Transmit is automatically moved to the received channel. MANUAL mode always monitors the manually selected channel and transmit also stays on that channel. The signal received on the other channel is also shown on the screen and the audio can be heard.
MAG (Memory Auto Grouping)
Memory channels can be automatically grouped and recalled for each band. In “My Group(M-GRP)”, any memory channels can be registered according to the user’s preference regardless of band.
CFL (Customized Function List)
Up to 9 frequently used functions from the 127 Menus can be registered and then easily selected.
High-resolution Band Scope
Dual receive and Scope operation display is switchable each time the [BAND(SCOPE)] key is pressed and held. Up to 47 channels can be displayed with the Scope operation. By rotating the left DIAL knob, the frequency range can be centered and the signal at the center marker is received. By rotating the right DIAL knob, the marker can be moved across the display and the signal at the market is received. Transmission can be performed at the frequency of the marker position at any time.
FM Friendly Digital using AMS (Automatic Mode Select)
AMS (Automatic Mode Select) automatically determines whether the receiving signal is C4FM Digital or FM analog and sets the receiver to the appropriate mode.
DG-ID (Digital Group ID) and GM (Group Monitor)
DG-ID function allows using two-digit ID numbers (00 - 99) to communicate only with specific group members who set the same frequency and DG-ID number in advance. GM (Group Monitor) function can be utilized to automatically monitor when group member stations with the same DG-ID number are operating within communication range.
