The Icom IC-7110 represents the next evolutionary step in mobile HF/VHF/UHF all-mode transceivers, building upon the technology first previewed under the prototype development code name X-026. Availability & Release Information

Unveiling happened at the Tokyo Ham Fair on August 29th, but official announcements regarding availability, retail pricing, and shipping schedules have not yet been released.

DV-mode App

• RS-MS3A (Android) and RS-MS3i (iOS)
• The RS-MS3 apps are designed to expand the DV mode capability of D-STAR transceivers, like the IC-7110, using Terminal or Access Point mode. These modes allow a D-STAR transceiver to communicate with the D-STAR network over the internet when the transceiver is out of range of a D-STAR repeater. 

Imaging App

• ST-4001A (Android) and ST-4001i (iOS)
• The ST-4001 apps allow the user to crop an image on an Android or iOS device and transfer it to the transceiver over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi so it can be shared over D-STAR. Text, like a call sign, can also be added to the image using the app.
